Wallace & Gromit in The Curse of the Were-Rabbit

My hopes were high for this first feature-length W&G film, still my undisputed favorite Aardman Studio characters. Maybe they were even a bit too high, which caused me to be slightly disappointed. Yes, the animation was still as ingenius as ever, yes the story is original as usual, yes there is really really funny stuff in there. But it's just that some of the regular W&G jokes - like the ones Wallace's getting-out-of-bed/breakfast rituals get a little too much attention. If you've seen the previous Wallace & Gromit short films, you know all about this, and it's simply the same jokes all over again. It's almost as if this film were meant mainly for people who have not seen the dynamic duo before.
Still, don't get me wrong, this is splendid work and highly enjoyable. Now how about a nice bit of cheese Gromit?
